The COR Audit Process

The Audit Process

A COR™ External Audit of your health and safety management system and processes will provide you with a benchmark understanding of the condition of your program in comparison to the requirements outlined by COR™ Standard for Ontario.
The Auditor gathers audit evidence using three methods:
  • Document Review,
  • Site Observations, and
  • Interviews.

Findings and Report

Collected audit evidence is used by the auditor to determine audit findings necessary to complete a final audit report.
In the spirit of continuous improvement, a comprehensive final audit report will offer advice relating to any observed weaknesses, which can then aid customers in further strengthening their program. The report will also highlight observed areas of strength and provide a full and detailed scoring per the COR™ audit tool.

Quality Control

Our audit activities are conducted in tandem with our Customers (the Auditee) and our partner Infrastructure Health and Safety Association, who ensure oversight of our audit services. This results in the highest level of integrity, quality and fairness being applied by IHSA Approved COR Associate Auditors like Safety on Sight Inc.
Subject to IHSA Associate Auditor Conflict of Interest outlined below, Safety on Sight Inc. is an independent Occupational Health and Safety Consulting firm that provides our customers with program development, implementation, certification coaching and auditing services.
